I am a self-taught artist from the Boston area living in New England. I work to create images and reinvent meanings by exploring, celebrating, and synthesizing images, ideas, and icons. Some of these are drawn from mythical, magical, spiritual, and commercial sources, as well as ordinary and popular culture and from common experiences and daily life.

As an artist, I have been called an intuitive, an outsider, and a visionary. My work has been described as having elements of pop art, modern art, surrealism, and expressionism.

My style has also been described as being naive and somewhat primitive. With so many and such diverse influences it is clear that it cannot be fully categorized and as such cannot be put squarely into just one school or movement. Similar to myself.

April has sold many works and paintings in the US and Canada. She has shown her work virtually and in galleries, won several online awards for her work, has had her worked published, and is currently gallery represented.
